What does an IT systems management assistant do?

  • Commercial understanding as the basis for continuous improvement:

    • The IT systems management clerk passes through all departments of the company with the aim of being able to independently carry out the activities that arise on a daily basis.  For example, creating incoming and outgoing invoices, creating and sending orders, monitoring incoming payments or payment reminders, are part of the range of tasks. Processes and monitors orders from the time the order is placed until the goods arrive at the customer's facility. When returns occur, he processes them using the company's own returns management software, writes credit notes and ensures that they are put back into storage. 
    • The aim here is, firstly, to understand these processes and also to execute them safely. In the second step, this enables him to optimize and further develop more and more processes and the various software tools, programs and tools.
    • The IT systems management clerk is one of the important human interfaces between the needs of the various departments and the software development department and external service providers.

  • Procurement Processes: 

    • IT systems management clerks are familiar with various requirements of the hardware and software needed. The IT systems management merchant works out and decides what is best suited for solving or optimizing problems. From selection to ordering to implementation, he or she accompanies the various projects.

  • Service requests:

    • The IT systems management clerk is the contact person for internal IT problems and takes requests. For example, you document problems and requests in a service management system and prioritize them to maintain an overview. The expansion as well as troubleshooting of the network infrastructure is also part of the job of an IT systems management clerk. 

  • E-commerce Sales Marketing:

  • Online Store Maintenance:

Cross references, manufacturer systems, exploded drawings and the in-house technology department are important points of contact that he incorporates into his daily work as an assistant to obtain the right information.

  • Notebook Service Center:

    • Another technical focus in the apprenticeship is the Notebook Technology and Returns Department. Here, the trainee learns to locate and repair faults in notebooks himself. Devices of all manufacturers and different defects such as display exchange, mainboard exchange and repair, keyboard and housing exchange and repair etc. are carried out after a short training. Likewise, customer returns are checked according to error description to then decide whether the article is still salable, or must be returned as a defect to the manufacturer.
